The course comprises 10 modules and students can study two (ABC) or three (ACCC) foreign languages. In the ABC options students interpret from and into their B language; in the ACCC option, students only interpret into their A language (mother tongue).

The MA programme comprises four core modules and four optional modules. Several pathways are available in the course: specialised translation, community interpreting, translatology and translation teaching, literary and media translation, inter- and transcultural translation, simultaneous and consecutive interpreting.

Students must choose two foreign languages for the conference interpreting programme. Areas studied include: simultaneous, consecutive, liaison and whisper interpreting, translation of conference texts, research techniques and tools.
There are six compulsory modules, three optional modules and a dissertation. Students can also spend some time studying abroad.

This master’s degree lasts for two years and enables graduates to work as freelance conference interpreters or to apply for positions in international organisations or in the German civil service.

This MA focuses on the theory and practice of specialised translation, including terminology, translation studies and technical communication. Students can specialise in Technology/Science or Economics/Law and they can choose either one, two or three modern languages (English, French and Spanish).

The programme focuses on providing students with the skills they need to become professional interpreters. It includes a thesis and an oral exam.

The Hochschule für Angewandte Wissenschaften (University of Applied Sciences) is a technical university in Bavaria with two campuses.
The subjects that can be studied on the course in collaboration with the technical faculties at the university include energy, materials and chemistry, and medicine in collaboration with the University of Würzburg. The programme also focuses on film and media translation, translation tools and project management.
