Welcome to my blog, My Words for a Change, the place where I get to voice my opinion on translation-related aspects rather than concentrating on other people’s words as a translator, editor and reviser.

My blog was nominated in the best blog category of the Community Choice Awards (CCA) for three years in a row (2016–2018). The CCA haven’t taken place since 2018.

Nancy Matis won the best blog post category in 2016 with When should we apply extra charges to translation projects? published as a guest post on this blog. In 2017, I won the same category with my blog post 22 more reasons why an agency might stop working with you.

The version of When the unthinkable happens and giving up work isn’t an option published in the ATA Chronicle won the best article award in 2018.

I hope you enjoy exploring my site with the clickable list of categories below. For convenience, I’ve also added the main website pages (shown in green).

Thanks very much for your interest and support.
