This programme is taught in Dutch.

Master of Arts in het vertalen – Universiteit Gent, Ghent
Language combinations: Dutch + up to two of English, French, German, Italian, Russian, Spanish and Turkish (see the website for current combinations).
Students learn about translation methods, strategies and techniques. They are taught how to look up specialist terms, consult resources and and how to work with translation memories and databases. The course includes an optional module (for example subtitling or localisation), a dissertation and a work placement.

Master’s in Translation – Louvain School of Translation and Interpreting, Université Catholique de Louvain (UCL), Louvain-la-Neuve
Language combinations: active language: French; passive languages: Arabic, Chinese, Dutch, English, German, Italian, Russian, Spanish, Turkish and Sign Language.

Master’s Degree in Interpreting – Université de Mons, Faculté de Traduction et d’Interprétation, Mons
Languages: Danish, Dutch, English, German, Italian, Russian and Spanish
Students acquire the strategies and skills to interpret a variety of highly specialised spoken messages, mainly into French in a variety of fields.
The course includes a work placement and final dissertation.

Master en interprétation – ISTI, Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB), Brussels
Languages: Croatian (3rd language), Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese (3rd language), Russian and Spanish
Most of the course focuses on conference interpreting. Students learn consecutive interpreting in the first block and simultaneous interpreting in the second.

Three Pathways: International Relations and Multidisciplinary Translation; Literary Translation; and the Language Industry.

Classes are taught by professional translators and experts in the relevant field.
