Book Clubs

As the virtual world has expanded with improvements in video communications, it’s now easier than ever before to get together with like-minded people to read and discuss literature. Below is a list of some book clubs that meet online to discuss translated texts.

Borderless Book Club

Run by some independent publishers, the book club exclusively discusses translated literature with the translators. The club is hosted by Maddie Rodgers, from Peirene, and meets fortnightly. Past sessions are available as podcasts.

Global Reads Book Club

An online multilingual book club for translators run by Eve Bodeux. The aim is to get through one book every two months (six in the year).

MET Book Club

This club meets online every week to read translated books in silence together and then roughly once a month they discuss the book they’re reading.
